Breast Cancer Awareness Month II It's risk factors

 

Get to know the symptoms better and why early detection is important. Factors that are associated with an increased risk of breast cancer include:





·       Being physically inactive: Women who are not physically active have a higher risk of getting breast cancer.





·       Being overweight or obese: Obesity increases the chance of developing breast cancer, which is why it is important to exercise regularly and adopt a healthy diet.



 

·       Family history: If your mother, sister or daughter was diagnosed with breast cancer, particularly at a young age, your risk of breast cancer is increased.





·       Hormone therapies: Some forms of hormone replacement therapy (those that include both oestrogen and progesterone) taken during menopause can increase risk for breast cancer.

      pwde rin kasi isa yon sa signs and symptoms ng breast cancer. Signs and symptoms: mass (painless at early stage, painful at late stage), nipple discharge, breast skin ulceration, orange-like breast skin, lump sa axilla,

My Journey to Covid-19 (Coronavirus) Vaccine

 Working as a nurse in a clinical setting is so challenging and at times struggling. One of the struggles that I met along the way is the fight of the pandemic coronavirus. Not only that it is physically exhausting but also emotionally and psychologically.  I'd say that it is physically exhausting because over time of taking care of patients, I have to be more cautious in practicing infection control. And I've reached to a point of considering everyone in front or near to me is infected to keep myself protected and stay away of the infection. And so far, I have been so right in being like that.
